Licensing
Overview
Licensing an Accordant system initially involves a one-off fee payment for which an organisation is granted a license to use the product to manage their Real Estate portfolio. This license is not time restricted so the only on going license-related costs are the optional maintenance fees.
Maintenance fees are payable annually in advanced and based on a percentage of the initial license fee paid. A maintained installation benefits from technical support, provision of all upgrades, access to beta versions and reduced call-out rates for on site services.
Typical Set Up Costs
- License Fees – A license for the configuration required
- Maintenance (Optional) – First year in advance
- Set up, Integration and Configuration
- Training
Typical Recurrent Costs
- Annual Maintenance (Optional)
- Hosting (If external)
- Service Costs (when run / maintained by a third party)
If the system is deployed internally by an organisation, hosting and service costs would not be applicable but there would be internal costs to consider in providing suitable IT infrastructure and support staff.
Per Site Licences
A ‘site’ license gives the licensee the ability to deploy any Accordant module to any user in their organisation without worrying about user limits or numbers. The only restriction is that it must be used for managing a fixed amount of space (based on Net Internal Area).
Simply put, a site license relates to the space total on the licensee’s database and they may use any Accordant modules to manage this.
The smallest site license currently available is for 100,000 square feet (9,314 sqM)
Per Seat Licences
Each installed Accordant application can be licensed to an individual user. The application modules are:
- DMS/LMS : AutoCAD extension to upload and manage plans
- Estate Manager : Space Recharge and reporting
- Estate Planner : Strategic space planning
- Move Manager : Moves and Changes project planning
- Relocator : Simple drag and drop move interface
- Resource Register : Management of people assets and departments
If there are only a small number of users requiring the system (perhaps not all needing every module) this is a simple, cost-effective entry to Accordant.
*Each licensee for these modules is also licensed to use the corresponding web application if a Web license is purchased.
Web Deployed Instances
The web model Accordant can be deployed on a licensee’s own intranet (usually as an addition to the two models above) or accessed externally at a third party service company’s server.
An intranet license can be purchased for use with the “per seat” model as outlined above and can be used without any space restrictions to publish data on a read only basis. However, in this configuration, each user of a licensed component (Estate Manager, Move Manager) can also use the corresponding Web Application.
On a “per site” configuration, the intranet license is included.
For pure Web deployment (internal or external) a basic “read only” license for up to 100,000 square feet is the starting point and this needs to be extended:
A) For global space totals greater than this value.
B) For each “active” module allowing login and update.
C) For each CAD user connecting via HTTP.
