ICAP - A Moving Experience.

Interdealer broker ICAP selected CADM's Accordant Locator software to help manage their HQ move to the city of London's prestigious Broadgate Circus development. Alongside the FM Facts system from Integrated FM the product has formed part of a "Best of breed" facilities solution. ICAP's Facilities Manager Kevin Oxley described Locator as "a professional tool which no large organisation should be without."

Having helped ICAP to achieve a zero-error move, CADM's flagship product has become an integral part of the company's churn management process linking to HR, Asset Register and other resources. "This software package evokes strong emotions" said Simon Mansell, ICAP's director of facilities. "It truly moved me!"

CADM and Integrated FM - "Best of Breed"

May 2004 - CADM announces the signing of a partnership agreement with facilities system specialist Integrated FM. Locator will provide Move Management and Space Recharge capabilities to IFM's existing products to deliver a comprehensive and powerful set of tools.

"Although we have recently added our own move management software to the fm facts range of modules we recognised that a tried and tested solution with over 10 years development offered our clients a more powerful and flexible solution for their needs," said Integrated fm managing director Steve Dingley. "To that end, we have already developed links between Accordant Locator and our fm facts modules," he added.

Alan Rose of CADM is equally enthusiastic: "We first worked with Integrated fm when research by a major client indicated that our two companies were the clear market leaders in their respective fields. Our products fit together perfectly and add value to each other, as do our company philosophies, so teaming up within a more formal arrangement was the obvious way forward," he explained.

Locator Version 7.4 - Now available

The latest enhancement to version 7 was made available to Maintenance Customers in April 2004 with a general release date of June 2004. CADM's CTO Frank Cassidy remarked "This is likely to be the last major subrelease before Version 8. It essentially improves performance in some of the most calculation intensive parts of the system and includes a number of new forms and formats".

CADM's in-house PDF document engine is now fully integrated into the Locator platform as well as the Specifier system.

The feature list for version 8 is still not on general release. It is hoped that support for a variety of CAD applications will be announced shortly in addition to news about .net and 64 bit issues.

PDF Support Added to Specifier

Adobe Acrobat format has become a standard for distributing documents electronically. Specifier users have been using the format for some time and, in response to user group requests, CADM has added direct PDF output to the Specifier product.

This feature will be a great help to sales people working in the field who need to get highly formatted quotations to clients and potential customers via email.
